Seung Parker (Maya and me)

I've been in love with art ever since I can remember,  My main interest have been in: studio art, painting, pottery, graphic design, and floral arranging. I am having the most fun when I am at the shop busy busy busy making pretty. For over 20 years I have been working and learning the industry.  I have had the privilege of working with amazing shops: 9th Street Flowers, Davenport at 5, R. Schaffer in Cary, NC and in my home state of Vermont.

Some of my work has been featured in The Knot, Bridal Magazine, The Today Show, The Marriott Opening-Downtown Raleigh, Lots of weddings (including my own wedding), I have made funeral sprays for movie set and my favorite accomplishment has been making arrangements for honored occasions in Apex, Cary and Raleigh. I love my job and being able to make others happy with beautiful flowers makes it even better. I feel I am a part of the neighborhood and hope to continue making beautiful arrangements here in 5 Points Raleigh.  I am very excited to be on a new adventure with my business partner at Petal & Fern at 5 Points, Raleigh, NC.

Flowers make life better. They speak a universal language that everyone can connect with, and they are able to express our feelings and emotions better than words alone can. I love the ephemeral quality of flowers and yet they help to make our memories more permanent, our present day more alive, and our plans for the future more certain.

Twenty years ago when my husband and I moved to Raleigh, one of our first outings was to the dessert shop across the street from where I now stand looking out from Petal & Fern. I'm excited for this opportunity to partner with such a talented floral designer, and to be a part of the 5 Points small business community. We are committed to continuing the rich tradition of inspired floral design that customers have loved for decades.
